How to Delete Your Account
You can delete your account directly in the app:
Steps to Delete Your Account
- Open SatComms and sign in
- Tap the three-dot menu icon in the top right
- Select "Delete Account"
- Confirm the deletion (you'll be asked twice to make sure)
- Your account and all data will be permanently deleted immediately
If you're unable to access the app, you can also request deletion by emailing privacy@satcomms.io with the email address associated with your account.
What Data Is Deleted
When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed:
- Account information: Your email address, display name, and authentication credentials
- Team memberships: You will be removed from all teams you are a member of
- Chat messages: Messages you sent in team chats
- Presence data: Your online/offline status and last seen timestamps
- Location data: Your GPS location data from the live team map
- Voice messages: Any recorded PTT voice messages you sent
- User preferences: Display name, paired PTT button settings
What Data Is Retained
- Teams you own: If you own a team, the team will be deleted along with all its data (members, chat history). Please transfer ownership or delete your teams before requesting account deletion if you want to preserve them for other members.
- Subscription records: Purchase history is retained by Apple App Store or Google Play Store per their policies. RevenueCat may retain anonymized transaction records. SatComms does not retain subscription data after account deletion.
Retention Period
In-app account deletion is immediate. All data listed above is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. Email-based deletion requests are processed within 7 business days.
